Doña Concha

Feed your soul
This recommendation never fails: Doña Concha. This Oviedo restaurant blends traditional Asturian cooking with a fresh, contemporary take on gastronomy. With warm service and fair prices, it’s the perfect place to get to know Oviedo’s food and atmosphere.

At Doña Concha you’ll find the best of local cuisine: fabada, cachopo, tripe stew… all prepared with care and quality ingredients. But they don’t stop there — they also offer a generous, tasty set menu, ideal for refuelling after a stage of the Camino or a day of sightseeing in Oviedo.

It’s also a great choice for tapas. They stock around a hundred beers, wines, Champagnes, cavas and ciders… plus more than a dozen cheeses selected by Aitor Vega. The idea is to be able to have a drink at the bar or at tall — but genuinely comfortable — tables. That matters, because you can’t really enjoy a meal if you’re uncomfortable. The dining room is spacious with a lovely atmosphere. Every dish on the menu uses locally sourced produce from trusted suppliers.

Cooking with soul

At Doña Concha, the cooking revolves around market produce, blending Asturian culinary tradition with the modern touches brought by chef Miguel Álvarez, third generation of a family long dedicated to hospitality in Asturias.

Every dish is made with fresh ingredients and plenty of care. Their set menu is one of the most highly rated in the area, ideal for pilgrims, tourists and locals looking for quality and good produce.
